Chariots of Charity® is another AvÍa Mobility Enabling Center Program.
Individuals with disabilities experience added barriers to learning and building skills necessary in today’s work environment. Maintaining timely mobility and access to school, work and extra-curricular activities builds confidence and the skills necessary to remain independent and a contributing member of society.
A donation of a Mobility Scooter or Power Wheelchair, working or not, helps disabled children, students and working adults gain access to educational, social and work opportunities that otherwise may be delayed or denied entirely.
The Chariots of Charity program provides free used parts for repair of client owned equipment where client has an established medical need, documented inability to pay for new parts or equipment and lacks insurance coverage for needed services.
Key program points include:
[*within Enabling Centers geographical service areas]
This program also provides short-term loaner equipment for qualified individuals pending delivery of new and insurance approved equipment.
AVÍA MOBILITY works directly with individuals and with local charities through the Chariots of Charity® program to provide mobility and access to social programs for disabled children, students and working adults.
